Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site supervision and monitoring of civil engineering projects primarily roads and civil infrastructure, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-time, on-site supervision of contractor deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
- Oversee quality assurance management for all contract deliverables.
- Manage requests for information (RFIs) from contractors, facilitating the efficient exchange of technical and commercial information between the contractor and the design team.
- Evaluate contractor claims and provide informed recommendations to ensure fair and accurate assessments.
- Monitor contractor adherence to the project Health and Safety plan, promoting a culture of safety on-site.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc or BEng) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with a strong background in managing construction contracts.
- Experience in the supervision of road and other civil infrastructure installation is a valuable asset.
